Communion
|
Be with the church for Communion and a sermon about the Love Doctor. Preacher Doyel will talk a tad about the life of Paul and his magnificent love passage—"1st Corinthians 13."

Mother's Day
|
The theme of love will continue with Mother’s Day. King Solomon had a lot to say about love in the Song of Songs. You might want to read about Mom in our country today. She sure has much that would overburden anyone!
Sunday, May 20, 2007
Our own seminary intern, Lee Styer, will preach. Remember, he serves without pay at our church. And at this church, that takes a lot of Love!

Memorial Day Weekend
|
Love of country and love of Christ will be the themes for the day. For this Sunday is both Memorial Sunday and Pentecost! The sermon title is, "And They All Understood Each Other." If you have a name of a deceased veteran that you wish called out during the Roll Call of Honor, please give to Reverend Doyel or Johnnie. There will also be a time during the service to say your loved one’s name.
This Sunday is also the Pentecost offering to help those in distress and need. If you can, please give generously.
~Parson Doyel

A cart with Christian fiction will be in the hall outside the library each week. Please help yourself. The bottom two rows of the cart will have books that are to be discarded or sent elsewhere. Please help yourself to any that interest you.
The library organization will be according to subject matter. This is an ongoing project, and well worth a look!

Look! Up in the sky! It’s a Bird!
It’s a Plane! No!!
It’s a beautiful little kite!
Yes, that’s right, a kite. Henderson Presbyterian Church hosted a kite making party in March. Small but mighty, the group of kite makers had a great time. Thanks to Harvey Rolf and Eleanor Spaulding for making this event possible
