Yes, come and find yourself with others seeking the way of God’s Wonderful Design!

Sunday, February 4, 2007 Annual Scout Sunday and Communion

Be with the Congregation for SCOUT SUNDAY. Hear an inspiring message from one of our scouts, and celebrate Holy Communion at the hands of the church officers who have been scouts.

Sunday, February 11, 2007

Preacher Doyel will hold forth on some Proverbs, with special advice for people who have to live with hard-headed people! See you in church.

Then, during the week, Reverend and Mrs. Doyel will be traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico for Moderator work in the design of our Presbytery and Synods. The church will be covered for any phone calls or issues that may transpire during this time.

Sunday, February 18, 2007 Presidents’ Day Weekend

Preacher Doyel will speak of God’s moving hand in the life of our presidents. Many, many of our presidents have had trying times and looked to God to help them and our country. Do you pray for your president? Whatever party is in power, they are our president.

Sunday, February 25, 2007

Preacher Doyel will be at the Executive Council Meeting, which consists of the chairs of all the committees of the Presbytery of Nevada, plus all the Trustees—corporate officers that actually hold the lands and buildings of the Presbytery—including your little church. Trustees also approve all church loans and major building improvements. We will have a wonderful guest speaker!

Presbytery meets this month at the Mountain View Presbyterian Church in Summerlin. While committees meet February 25th and 26th, Presbytery meets Tuesday and Wednesday the 27th and 28th. You are invited to attend Presbytery to see how sausage is made, and especially urged to attend the worship service on Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m.

Our church has two special funds.

We still are collecting money for the Renovation Fund. This fund has been established by the Session to offset the cost of needed interior and exterior repairs and replacements. If you have questions concerning this fund, contact Building and Operations Chairman Rick Miller; and if you can help, please write "FUND" on your check and place it in the offering plate.

The second fund is the New Sign Fund. This fund has been established to pay for new signage on all corners of the grounds of our church property. Approximately $10,000 will be needed for this project. If you are able to help, please put "SIGN" on your check and place it in the offering plate. For more information on this project please contact Membership Chairman Chris Holman.
